Walks
Our Cabins are next to a footpath that gives you instant access a number of great walks, whether you want to walk to one of the 3 country pubs you can get too or visit Stow Maries Aerodrome for a guided tour around Europe's largest surviving WW1 aerodrome or just go for a wonder the countryside is your oyster!

Marsh Farm Country Park
We are also lucky to have Marsh Farm Country Park on our doorstep, only a 10 minute drive from our cabins.
Here you can have a great day out getting up close and personal with all the animals that call it home. You can even milk a cow!
As well as the Animal adventure the country park is over 300 acres and a great place for scenic coastal walks and superb river views. Great for walking, running, cycling, dog walking and bird watching.

RHS Garden Hyde Hall
A 10 minute drive away you will find the beautiful Hyde Hall gardens.

The Prince of Wales in Stow Maries
At 15 minute walk or 2 minute drive is the Prince of Wales! A great country pub serving a wide range of ales, honest pub grub and a roaring fire in the winter months!

The Purleigh Bell
If you feel you want to work up a bit of more of an appetite then follow the footpath all the way to the purleigh bell, this would be around 45 minute walk through the Essex countryside.
Expect a traditional country pub with great food and a warm atmosphere!

The Norton in Cold Norton
A 25 minute walk or cycle down the old Railway line gets you to The Norton! Just watch out for the ghost train on your way back in the dark!!

The Ferryboat
This newly refurbished pub is now a great spot for a good bite to eat next to the water.

GOLF
If Golf is your thing then you are quite literally on the boundary of Three Rivers Golf and Country Club!
The club boasts two superb 18 hole golf courses, the par 72 Kings Course and the par 64 Jubilee Course.

Burnham On Crouch
If fish and chips by the water is more your thing then a 15 minute drive gets you to Burnham on Crouch, a historic town situated on the banks of the river crouch.
Where you can either sit back and watch the boats or jump on one yourself and head out fishing!

Maldon Promenade Petting Zoo
Visit Maldon's first ever zoo and get up close and personal with over 70 species of animals. Battlesbridge Antique Centre
Just down the road is Battlesbridge Antique Centre. This is a huge antique centre comprising of 5 interesting old buildings housing over 70 dealers in antiques & crafts. I It is located on the banks of the River Crouch in a picturesque hamlet, with tea rooms and an 18th century pub.
